Alan Crock, age 60, of Lowden, Iowa, died at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House-Hiawatha on November 12, 2009. Alan was born January 7, 1949, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Herbert Crock and Alreta Cruse. Alan married Vicki Sanger in 1973 at Mechanicsville. Al had served in the Navy and was employed as an electrician and plumber. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Reverend Paul Frederiksen officiating. Burial will follow at Lowden Cemetery with graveside military rites. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House., Alan is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Joseph of Lowden and Matthew (Crystal)of Cedar Rapids; 3 grandchildren Ayden, Jayce, and Paige Crock; his mother Alreta Crock of Olin; 2 brothers Doug and Bill; 2 sisters Ellen (Wayne) Florang and Alice Crock. He was preceded in death by his father.
