Albert H. "Andy" Anderson, age 83 of Calamus, passed away in his home on Thursday October 31, 2024. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Free Lutheran Church in Wheatland on Monday November 4, 2024 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus.

Andy was born March 15, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa to Albert and Freda (Collier) Anderson. He married Delores Chilla on March 25, 1961 at Davenport. She passed away on January 12, 2023.

Andy is survived by his children Beth Anderson of Calamus, Albert (Tina) Anderson III of McCausland, Michelle (Bob) Priebe of German Valley, IL, Alesia (Tony) Bejarno of Cedar Rapids, and Aaron (Liz) Anderson of Lost Nation; grandchildren Luke, Joey, John, Amanda, Craig Jr. Maria, Victoria, Ariel, Nick, and Mitch; great grandchildren Adelyn, Quinn, Colson, Miller, Tobin, Kieran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son David James; brothers Dick and Wayne; and sisters Pat and Mary.

Andy was a union dry wall finisher, and he loved farming and gardening.

Andy was a kind and caring man and his faith in the Lord and the love of his family made him an easy man to love. Andy was a very active member at Bettendorf Christian Church where he served as an elder, taught bible school, and Awana club leader. Andy was a charter member of the Dewitt Evangelical Free Church. He had special nicknames for all his kids and would read out of the children's Bible on Sunday evenings when they were little.
