Alice R. Kearney, age 81, of Wheatland, Iowa, died December 12, 2007, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Alice was born July 21, 1926, in Princeton, Iowa to Jens and Emma (Witt) Feddersen. Alice married Howard Kearney on January 29, 1947 in Davenport. Alice had worked as a cook at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home for 15 years. She loved flowers, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, Iowa, with Reverend Laird Keever and Reverend James Olsen officiating. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, December 17, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland. Alice is survived by her husband Howard; daughters Marilyn (Ken) Brinnick of New Gloucester, Maine, Marlo (Gary) Johnson of Carson City, Nevada, and Carol (James) Olsen of Stronghurst, Illinois; son Dennis (Susan) Kearney of Lakota, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and brother Alvin Feddersen of Stronghurst, Illinois. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arnold, Harry, Ralph and Robert Feddersen and son Paul Kearney.
