Alvin A. Seifert, age 90, of Wheatland, Iowa, died at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House Davenport on May 8, 2011. Alvin was born January 8, 1921, in Lost Nation, Iowa to Moritz Seifert and Emma (Twachtmann) Seifert. Alvin married Gladys Brinkman on February 13, 1941 in Davenport. No Funeral services will be held. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Memorials can be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Alvin was a Navy World War II Veteran. He is survived by wife Gladys; sons: Dr. A. Ronald (Julie) of Bainbridge Island,Washington, Russell(Sandi) of Wheatland; Norman (Lorna) of Long Grove; daughter Judith (Fred) Meyer of Blue Grass, IA; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great- great grandchildren. Alvin was preceded in death by parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and an infant daughter.
