It is with heavy hearts that we share that Andrea Marie Ganzer, age 46, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. Andrea was born February 25, 1979 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Ned and Marilyn Ganzer. Andrea grew up in Wheatland and graduated from DeWitt Community High School, where she excelled in Special Olympics. Andrea lived with many good friends over the years, most recently living in Clinton.

Andrea loved to be around people…she would be the first one to offer a hug, a high five, or a wave. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and watching movies. Anyone that knew Andrea was aware that she loved the color pink! Andrea loved her family, friends, and staff. Andrea was particularly proud of being an aunt to Parker.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Marilyn Ganzer; her grandparents, Wilbert and Berniece Riedesel, and her uncle and aunt, Jerry and Barbara Griep. Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Angela Ganzer-Bovitz; brother-in-law Justin Bovitz, nephew Parker Bovitz; and an uncle, Will Ried.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00, with the funeral immediately following at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 706 Smith Street, Grand Mound, Iowa. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

There are no words that can express how grateful, and blessed, we are for the numerous friends who loved Andrea. The family would like to thank the Med Pulm unit at Mercy One Genesis East, Pulmonology Associates, Mercy One Genesis Hospice and VNA, Mercy One Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Pastor John Dolde, Good Samaritan, and Medic for the compassionate care that was provided to Andrea. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Andrea's name to the Mercy One Genesis Foundation to benefit Hospice Care at Genesis Fdtn.
