Benjamin Ray Bicknese, age 89 of Wheatland, passed away on Monday January 6, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City. Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 13, 2014 at 10:30 A.M at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lost Nation. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 12, 2014 from 2-4 P.M at Chapman's Funeral Home in Wheatland. Benjamin was born on December 10, 1924 to John F. and Louise C. (Beckmann) Bicknese in Wheatland, Iowa. Benjamin had served his country in the Army. He is survived by his brother, Wayne Bicknese, DVM of West Union and nieces and nephews. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
