Betty Hitchcock, age 84, of Clarence, Iowa, died February 6, 2010, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Betty was born February 8, 1925, in Gorin, Missouri, to Ernst and Mae (Parkins) Mangle. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at St. John's United Church Of Christ Fireside Room. Betty had worked in the trust department of Valley National Bank in Des Moines for many years. Betty is surived by daughter Ann (Ron) Coe of Mt. Vernon; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by parents, husband, and a sister.
