Betty J. Schade, age 78, of Calamus, Iowa, died March 9, 2008, at West Wing Place Dewitt. Betty was born May 14, 1929, in Lowden, Iowa, to Ernest and Helena (Hamdorf) Juehring. Betty married Richard Schade at Lowden October 19, 1947. He died 1976. Betty J. Schade, age 78, of Calamus, Iowa, died March 9, 2008, at West Wing Place in Dewitt, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Iowa. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Clarence, Iowa. The visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Betty had been employed at Calamus Schools and Wapsie Oaks Country Club. Betty is survived by her daughters Lana (Claire) Petersen of Watertown, Wisconsin, Lisa (Lance) Pardee of Long Grove, Iowa, and Leslie (Ross) Rowold of Wheatland, Iowa; sons Larry of Davenport, Iowa, Lynn (Cathy) of Calamus, and Loren of Calamus; brother Ervin Juehring of Wheatland; 17 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lori, 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.
