Carl R. Griffith, age 62, of Clarence, Iowa, died July 7, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Carl was born October 11, 1947, in Cedar Rapids to Elbert Carl and Mary Eloise (Leuenberger) Griffith . He married Delores Bechtold in 1992 at St. John's Church in Clarence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Clarence Cemetery, Iowa, with Merle Griffith officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben Griffith, Delores Griffith, Mike Albaugh, Dwayne Ahrens, David Himes, and Dave Shinker with Kim Griffith serving as honorary pallbearer. Carl was a truck driver for 46 years and a member of St. John's Church. He is survived by his wife Delores, his brother Ben (Kim) of Hiawatha, 8 brothers and sisters, 1 half brother, 3 step daughters, 4 step granddaughters, and 1 step great grandson. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his Parents, and his step-dad, John Armstrong.
