Carl J. Ketelsen, 76, of Lowden, Iowa died Monday,February 20, 2006 at Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab. Carl Ketelsen was born on July 9, 1929 in Cedar County, Iowa to Arnold Ketelsen and Clara Allmandinger. Carl Married Karmen Koppenhaver June 2, 1962 at Bennett Iowa. Carl served in the Navy during Korean War. He had worked as a farmer and trucker and was a member of the Clarence American Legion. Visitation is Friday February 24th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa on Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Lynn Butterbrodt will be officiating. Burial will be at Dayton Valley Cemetery in Clarence with graveside military rites. Carl is survived by his wife Karmen; daughter Lynn Ketelsen of Davenport; sons Michael(Cindy) of Viroqua, Wisconsin, Mark of Fullshear Texas, Thomas of Clarence. 2 grandsons; 3 sisters Delores Spangler of Mississippi, Dorothy Scharff of Rock Island, Arvella Pewe of Dixon, Iowa; Brothers Don of Durant, William of Durant, Delbert of Muscatine, Curtis of Davenport and Edward of Bennett. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
