Carma Joan Conrad, age 70, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on Wednesday April 26, 2017. Memorial services will be held on Monday May 1, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden with Reverend Stephen Stepp officiating. A private family burial will be held at the Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Sunday April 30 from 2-5 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Carma was born on July 15, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa to John Peter and Esther (Wiebel) Busch. She married Merlin Conrad on April 23, 1965 at Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden. Carma fought a courageous nine year battle with cancer. She was a member of the Zion Evening Circle, helped with vacation bible school every year, and loved to shop. Carma lived for her grandchildren and loved her family very much. She went home to be with her Lord and her son, Dan. Carma is survived by her husband, Merlin; son, Curt (Pam Rathjen) of DeWitt; daughter, Jodi Olson of DeWitt; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Conrad of Bennett; grandchildren, Austin Conrad, Ryan Olson, Lauren Olson, Tyler Olson, Trevor Conrad, Rylee Conrad, and Madison Conrad; and sister, Rita Anderhalt of Alden, New York. Carma was preceded in death by her parents and son, Dan.
