Carol Ann Petersen, age 83 of Wheatland, passed away at Wheatland Manor on Tuesday October 29, 2024. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating on Saturday November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Carol was born March 22, 1941 to Harry and Irma (Ewoldt) Plambeck in Davenport, Iowa. She married Don Petersen on June 24, 1961 in Wheatland. He passed away on June 8, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Powers of Lowden; sons David (Teri) of Davenport and Michael of Wheatland; grandson Ryan (Jackie) Powers of Davenport; sister-in-law Lynn (Don) Leavens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law Steve Powers; and sister June Rittmer.

Carol enjoyed golfing and antiques in her earlier years. She also liked cross stitch, watching sports, and was a voracious reader.
