Carolyn F. Bauer, age 85, passed away at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport on Monday February 15, 2021. Family services will be held at a later date. Carolyn was born July 18, 1935 in Wheatland to Allan and Norma Witte Hein. She married Jerry Bauer on September 2, 1956 at Bennett, Iowa. She is survived by her husband Jerry; sons Mark of Manchester and Chuck of Greeley, CO; daughters Sue (Steve) Henderson of Durant, Jana (Dan) Schneckloth of Eldridge, and Kelly (Scott) Mente of Wheatland; grandchildren Amie Jones, Matt Beatty, Maggie and Katie Bauer, Amber Trenkamp, Chelsi Goettsch, Justine Maass, Stephanie Rohling, Jeff Mente, and Brittany Selby; step grandchildren Cait Brown, and Nick and Jake Schneckloth; 9 great grandchildren; and her special friend Helen Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Shane Bauer; and step grandson Dane Schneckloth. Carolyn loved to watch her Chicago Bears and Cubs along with Hawkeye sports.
