Charles Petersen, age 90, passed away on December 8, 2018 at the Clarence Nursing Home. There will be a private graveside service held at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Charles was born on November 14, 1928 to Harry and Martha Vandebrande Petersen in Bennett, Iowa. He married Audrey Hass on April 15, 1951 in Wheatland. She passed away on January 3, 2005. Survivors include his sons, Rick (Karen) of Wheatland and Dave (Bonnie) of Big Rock; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother Larry (Joyce) of Lowden; and sister in law Ann Petersen of Monett, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother Harlan. Charles' hobbies included fishing, bowling and cards. He was also a Cubs fan and a life long farmer.
