Charley L. Collins, 79, of Clarence, Iowa died Saturday,Dec.17,2005 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Charley L. Collins was born on Sept.21,1926 in West Plains,Missouri to Charley Batey Collins and Lugenia Stellemeyer. Charley L. Collins was united in marriage to Anna Smith on June 29,1947 at Salem Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home-Clarence. There will be no services,following the visitation his body will be cremated with inurnment in the Clarence Cemetery at a later date. Charley had farmed in his earlier years and then worked as a truck driver. Charley L. Collins is survived by wife Anna, daughters: Wanda (Ernie) Anderson and Joyce (Bob) Knight both of Clarence, son: Larry of Clarence, sisters: Fannie (Lloyd) Burmeister and Better (Wilbert) Wendt, both of clarence and Rosie Bruce of Stanwood, brother Leroy Collins of West Liberty, and sister-in-law Willene Collins of Onslow. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Carl and sister Lena Mae Holloway.
