Charlotte Davidson, age 98, of Lowden, Iowa, died Monday, December 7, 2009, in the Genesis East Medical Center-Davenport. Charlotte was born September 20, 1911, to George Tometich and Mary Bubon in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. She married Albert Davidson June 22, 1935, in Knoxville, Iowa. He died in 1999. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Victor Young officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Charlotte came to the U.S. Oct. 12, 1912, and was a graduate of Slater, Iowa, High School and became a U.S. citizen in 1931. Albert and Charlotte first made their home in Nevada, Iowa. After Albert's Army discharge they moved to eastern Iowa making their home in several places due to his work. They finally moved to Lowden in 1955. She is survived by a nephew, 2 nieces, a cousin and her devoted neighbors and friends Connie Madden, Edna Hartwig and Marnell Scheeper. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and a sister.
