Charlotte E. Klatt, age 93, of Clarence, Iowa, died on February 4, 2012 at Clarence Nursing Home. Charlotte was born September 1, 1918, in Olin, IA to Michael Swenson and Eva (Easterly) Swenson. Charlotte married Henry Klatt on June 5, 1942 in Olin. He died August 22, 1995. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at St. John's United Church Of Christ in Clarence, Iowa, with Rev. David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Olin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. She was a member of the church, Women's Fellowship, the order of the Eastern Star, Partners in study club, the American Legion Auxiliary and after retirement she volunteered weekly at the Clarence Nursing Home. She taught at Clarence and Olin schools for a combined 29 years until retiring in 1980. She is survived by son Steve (Chrystal) of Olin; daughter Sybil Klatt of Madison, WI; 4 grandchildren: Eric Klatt, Michael (Carrie) Klatt, Nicole (Brian) Tenley, Stephanie (Bryan) Adams; 7 great-grand children: Austin and Abby Tenley; Tyler, Trae and Tiffany Klatt, Henry and Jason Adams; sister Beverly (Alan) Rohwedder of Olin. Charlotte was preceded in death by parents, Husband, 1 Brother, 1 Sister, and 2 Brother-in-laws.\n
