Cheryl A. Thiele, age 63, of Clarence, Iowa, died August 4, 2007, at St. Lukes Hospital Cedar Rapids of a sudden illness. Cheryl was born April 15, 1944, in Worthington, MN to Clarence and Laura (Rubsam) Dahlman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, Iowa, with Rev. David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Township Cemetery, Melvin, IA. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 on Monday, August 6, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. There will be a brief viewing before the committal service at the Sanborn Funeral Home in Sanborn, Iowa on Thursday August 9, 2007 at 11:00 am. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father. She was survived by her mother, Laura Dahlman of Melvin, IA; two daughters: Danette (Keith) Nolte of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Delaine (John) Tanis of Camden, North Carolina; 3 granddaughters; sister, Marlene (Delbert) Schultz of Ocheyedan, IA; special friend, Jim Boots of Clarence; and many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was the manager of the Caseys General Store in Clarence for 20 years.
