Christine N. Kroemer, age 83 of Lowden, passed away at the Clarence Nursing Home on Thursday August 6, 2026. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Rev. Daniel Redhage officiating on Tuesday August 11 at 11:00 AM with visitation also at the church from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Chris was born March 17, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Edmund and Alice (Krzyzanski) DeJonghe. She married Robert Kintzel and later divorced. She was married to Robert Kroemer November 28, 1981 at Reno, Nevada. He passed away February 12, 2017.

Chris is survived by children Bonnie Kintzel of Lowden, Connie (Mike) Buck of Anamosa, Bobby (JoAnn) Kintzel of West Des Moines, Rodney Kintzel of Clarence, Richard (Terri) Kroemer of Waukee, Ia, Randy L. (Anna) Kroemer of Titusville, FL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother Joe (Rita) Winze of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Richard and Ed; sisters Shirley and Edwina; granddaughter Erin; and Husband Robert.

Chris was a past member of the Lowden Legion Ladies Amvets and Auxiliary.

Chris dedicated much of her life to hard work and family. She spent many years as the Parts Manager at Thein Motors, and later she joined her husband, Bob, in the family business at R.E. Trucking, Inc., and continued working alongside him at West Side Truck Center.

Beyond her career, Chris embraced life with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit. She was an avid card player and loved spending time at bingo games, where she was known for her determination—and for never enjoying a loss. A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, she faithfully cheered on her team through every season. She found her greatest joy in attending her grandchildren's sporting events, enthusiastically supporting them from the sidelines and celebrating each of their accomplishments.
