Obituary

Clyde O. Kleinsmith, 78, of Wheatland, died Wednesday December 26, 2012 at his home. There will be a private graveside ceremony at a later date.\n Clyde was born on March 11, 1934 in DeWitt, Iowa to Forrest and Maureen (Thompson) Kleinsmith. On December 22, 1962 he married Darlene Rohwedder at Rock Island. Clyde had worked as an inspector at J.I. Case. He was a member of the Dixon American Legion Post 353,Zealous Masonic Lodge #435-Oxford Junction, AARP and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32 degree at Clinton. Clyde had served in the Airforce alongside his brother Jack, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting, along with being a very good carpenter.\nSurvivors include his wife, Darlene; sons, Lance(Debra) of Jacksonville, Florida; Mitchell(Wanda) of New Orleans, Louisiana; Mark and friend Gwen of Walcott; John(Stacee)of Alaska, Scott(Amy)of Calamus; sisters, LouJean(Dale)Scott of Maquoketa; and Karmen(John)Jamison of Wyoming;10 grandchilden, and 8 great grandchildren.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; brother Forrest(Jack); sister Helen Krauss; and 1 grandchild.
