Dale E. Wulff, age 85, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 18, 2013 at 10:30 A.M at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 17, 2013 from 4-7 P.M at Chapman's in Clarence.
Dale was born on February 6, 1928 to Carl and Martha (Syring) Wulff in rural Cedar County. He married Judith Buck on March 17, 1953 in Clarence.
Dale graduated in 1945 from the Clarence High School and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He was a lifetime member of St. John's UCC and served on the church counsel as well. Dale farmed with his son Rick and wife Judy. He also hauled milk, drove truck for Feed Fortifiers and sold Archer Oil for 35 years. Dale loved spending time with family and friends. His favorite past-time was listening to polkas and going to polka dances. He loved being on his tractors and doing the outside work. In 2013 Dale and his wife Judy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Rick of Clarence; daughters, Deb (Dave) Mohr of Tipton and Shari (Blain) Crock of Clarence; grandchildren, Dionne (Ryan) Daedlow, Dustin (Briton) Mohr, Dawn (Andy) Kruse, Barrett Crock (Sandy), Brandon Crock (Lauren), and Stacey Dies (Brett); 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marvella Baird of Mechanicsville.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, August Schroeder.
