Darold A. King, age 75 of Tipton, passed away on February 15, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A graveside service will be held on Monday February 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery with full military honors. All friends and family are invited to attend. The son of Norman and Virginia King, he was born May 13, 1946 in Tipton, Iowa. He married Karen Maurer September 3, 1966. She passed away on March 27, 2014. Darold is survived by sons Brian and Jeff and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen; parents; brother; and a nephew. He served 26 years in the military, 6 in the Army Reserve and 20 in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1991. Memorials may be directed to Mercy Foundation, Iowa City.
