Daryl A. Mohr, age 70, of Wheatland, Iowa, died on December 30, 2011 in his home. Daryl was born May 19, 1941, in Princeton, IA to Johannes C Mohr and Alvera W (Knuth) Mohr. Daryl married Shirley Hoffman on January 14, 1962 in Wheatland. She died January 22, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at St. Paul's United Church Of Christ in Wheatland, Iowa, with Rev. John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 pm on Monday, January 2, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Cemetery, Wheatland Lions or the Wheatland Fire Department. Daryl was a member of the Wheatland Lions, St. Paul's Church, St. Paul's Cemetery board, was a past member of the Wheatland Fire Department, and was a past president of the Wheatland school board. Farming was a big part of Daryl's life. He also drove school bus in his early years for North Scott. He is survived by sons Troy (Jenny) of Wheatland and Todd (Lisa) of Detroit, Michigan; daughter Mindy (Dale) Wriedt of Donahue, IA; brothers Glen E. of Walker and Tom of DeWitt; sister Joan (John) Brown of LeClaire, IA; mother-in-law Ruth Hoffman of Wheatland; 6 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
