Delores I. Anderson, age 83 of Calamus, passed away on Thursday January 12, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 16 at 10:30 A.M at Christian Free Lutheran Church in Wheatland with Pastor Martin Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calamus. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until service time at the church.

Delores was born on January 21, 1939 to Herman and Freida (Skonetsky) Chilla in Davenport, Iowa. She married Albert Anderson Jr. on March 25, 1961 in Davenport.

Delores is survived by her husband Albert Jr.; children Beth Anderson of Calamus, Albert (Tina) Anderson III of McCausland, Michelle (Bob) Priebe of German Valley, IL, Alesia (Tony) Bejarno of Cedar Rapids, and Aaron (Liz) Anderson of Lost Nation; grandchildren Luke, Joey, John, Amanda, Craig Jr., Maria, Victoria, Ariel, Nick, and Mitch; great grandchildren Adelyn & Colson; sisters Mary Ann Hentrich and Jane Smay of Bettendorf; and brother Robert Chilla of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David James.

God was number one to Delores and her life centered around Him. She lived by the beatitudes and adored her church family. Delores was hard working and loved gardening, flowers, pumpkins, leaf picking, road trips, bus trips, and looking at rivers. She found good in everything and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Although she lived in Iowa, Wisconsin was her favorite state.
