Dianna M. Sowash , 58, of Dixon, Iowa, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home Lowden, Iowa. Dianna Sowash was born on May 9, 1947 to Howard Fertig and Rooda Ness in Applington, Iowa. On October 23, 1981 she married Tim Sowash at Port Byron, IL. She had worked at Red Jacket in Davenport for 20 years and at Fareway on 53rd in Davenport for over a year. Dianna loved pottery, art and gardening. Dianna is survived by her husband Tim, a son Tim (Becki) Chapin of Maquoketa, three grandchildren, a brother Marvin Fartig of Applington, sisters Suzie Franks of Port Byron, Illinois and Joyce Smith of Ft. Dodge. Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and son Daniel Chapin. Dianna's wishes were to be cremated, a Celebration of her life for family & friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland followed by a private service at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to Wheatland Manor nursing Home or to Amyloidosis research.
