Dick M. Mensing of Lowden, IA passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held on Monday June 27 from 5-7 PM at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. There will be a private graveside service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lowden. Dick was born on June 22, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Victor and Marian (Licht) Mensing. He married JoAnn Derganz on June 22, 1985 at the Little Brown Church. Dick was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran School, Lowden Consolidated High School, and Iowa State University. Dick was a resident of Lowden his entire life. He was employed and owner of Lowden Plumbing & Heating Co. his entire working career. He loved fishing, woodworking and building projects. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, of Lowden, IA, and her son, Terry, of Florida his brother, Mark (Jackie) of Franklin, IN, his sister, Julie Einck, of Dubuque, IA, and nieces and nephew, Andrea Einck, Elizabeth Mensing, Lori Mensing, and Benjamin Einck. Dick was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial gifts may be made to the City of Lowden or Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.
