Dolores E. Claney, age 87, passed away on Saturday July 28, 2018 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 31 at St. John's Cemetery in Clarence at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams officiating. Dolores was born on January 15, 1931 at Wheatland, Iowa to Arthur and Florence Bicknese Burrichter. She was married to Don Claney on October 16, 1949 at Wheatland. He passed away on April 3, 2016. Survivors include her daughter Patricia (Douglas) Horton of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren Chad Claney and Lindsay Meade; 3 great grandchildren; sister Shirley (Roy) Husen of Dixon, IA and brother Gerald Burrichter of Spring Blanch,TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael and Husband Don. Dolores liked to do crossword puzzles, crochet, and watch golf on tv. She enjoyed looking into her families' history and was known to be an excellent cook. Her family was her life and she never missed her kids' activities in their earlier years.
