Donald F. Schnipkoweit, age 48, of Cedar Rapids formerly of Stanwood, Iowa, died on Monday, February 28, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital-Cedar Rapids. Donald was born October 16, 1962, in Cedar Rapids to Delmar Schnipkoweit and Deanna (Coppess) Schnipkoweit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 4, 2011, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Pastor Phil Leipold officiating. Burial will follow at Stanwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, March 3, at the Funeral Home. Donald was preceded in death by father Delmar and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Howard Coppess and Mr & Mrs. Fred Schnipkoweit. He is survived by mother Deanna Schnipkoweit of Stanwood; step-mother-Barb Schnipkoweit of Hiawatha; sister-Darcie (Eric)Barman of New York; brothers: Dennis (Melody) Schnipkoweit of Olin and Darold Schnipkoweit of California, John (Michelle) Schnipkowiet of Cedar Rapids; step-sister Theresa Catchpool and step-brother Rob (Sue) Moore; nieces and newphews. Donald was proceeded in death by father Delmar and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Howard Coppess and Mr & Mrs. Fred Schnipkoweit.
