Donald L. Willows, 72, of Dixon, Iowa, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. Donald was born on September 4, 1936, in Carrington, North Dakota to Edward and Fern (Harrington) Willows. Donald served in the Army and was retired from H & W Motor Express where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion, and he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, collecting pens, hats, and toy cars. He also enjoyed his grandchildren, visiting special friends at GB's and playing the lottery. Funeral services for Donald Willows will be at Hope Lutheran Church in Dixon at 10:30am on Saturday, November 29, 2008, with Pastor Shelly Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, November 28, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Donald is survived by his daughters Donna Morris and her fiance Tim Tullberg of Junction City, Kansas and Roberta (Jeff) Beadle of Dixon; five grandchildren Ashlee, Abby, Dillon, Faith, and Ethan; a sister Marcella Therkelsen of Cooperstown, North Dekota; a brother Raymond (Elaine) Willows of Williston North Dekota; a sister-in-law Maxine Willows; a special nephew Van (Patti) Willows and great-nephews Kyle and T.J. of Davenport, Iowa. Donald was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, and two sisters.
