Donald Marvin Lange, age 86 of Lowden, died peacefully on Thursday December 7, 2017 at the Clarence Nursing Home with his wife by his side. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 9, 2017 at 10:30 A.M at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Reverend Daniel Redhage officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Don was born on October 11, 1931 to Clyde and Margaret (Ortell) Lange in Maquoketa, Iowa. He married Lottie Prince in Berwyn, IL on April 20, 1958. They had a son, Daniel, who was born June 11, 1960.
Don is most remembered for owning & operating the Lowden Meat Market for 30 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lowden Fire Department, and was president of the Lowden Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lange; grandchildren, Matthew Lange and Patricia (Gary) Hadden; and great grandchildren, Henry & Mary.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; son; three brothers; and one sister.
