Doris Hasselbusch, age 82, of Clarence, Iowa, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Doris was born April 24, 1927, in Cedar County to John Hoffner and Lena Biere. Doris married Lloyd Hasselbusch June 5, 1971, at Clarence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at St. John's United Church Of Christ in Clarence, Iowa, with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 1, at Chapman Funeral Home. Doris attended Clarence Schools through grade 11, and, when the family moved to Cedar Rapids, she graduated from Roosevelt High School. She attended business school and worked in the trust department at Guaranty Bank in Cedar rapids for 24 years. She was a member of the Legion Auxilliary, St. John's Church, and had been a member and officer of 3/30 women's golf association. She also had been board secretary for Clarence-Lowden Schools for several years. Doris is survived by her husband Lloyd; sister Marilyn (Richard) Nebergall of Olin; sister-in-law Shirley Hoffner of Clarence; 5 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Hoffner.
