Dorothy Gade, age 88, of Lowden, Iowa, died on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Dorothy was born July 9, 1922, in Lowden, Iowa, to William Brockmeyer, Sr. and Alvina (Burmeister) Brockmeyer. Dorothy married Ralph Gade on December 16, 1944, at Lowden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Zion United Church Of Christ in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Mark Buck officiating. Burial will follow at Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, January 11, until service time at the church. Arrangements With Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Dorothy and her sisters had operated the Trio Caf� in Lowden for many years. She is survived by her husband Ralph. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Brockmeyer, and sisters Arlene Brewer and Alma Kruckenberg.
