Douglas E. Horner, age 64 of Bellevue, passed away at his home on Sunday August 22, 2021. There will be no services. Doug was born July 7, 1957 to Lowell and Dorothy Nyberg Horner in Chicago, IL. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Pate on July 18, 1981 in Toronto, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Marilyn; son James (Denise) Burton of Lancaster, WI; daughters Luisa (Brent) Blumer of Moline, IL and Angela (Matt) Burton of Cedar Rapids; brothers Dan (Dawn) of New Castle, CO and Dean (Wendy) of Amana, IA; sister Dawn (Kevin) Edler of Wheatland; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Dacota; and brother Dave. Doug served his country in the Marines and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by many.
