Duane A. Boettcher, age 71 of Mechanicsville, passed away in his home in the early morning hours of Wednesday March 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Saturday March 4 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. The family requests casual attire. Reverend Byron Miller will be officiating.

Duane was born September 20, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa to Donald and Lois Saunders Boettcher. He married Robin Seeley on January 10, 2015.

Survivors include his wife Robin; son Toby (Dawn) of Clinton; stepsons Gavin and Tyler Vorwald; grandchildren Caleb (C.J.) and Gabrielle (Gabbi); brother Devon of Lowden; sisters Donna Shannon of Baldwin, IL, Deanna (Byron) Miller of Clarence, and Debra (Greg) Bentrott of Lowden; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Douglas and David.

Duane drove truck for over 50 years, accumulating over 5 million miles. He enjoyed the Seattle Seahawks, NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs "dirtheads", and camping, which included Robin's campfire meatloaf. He was a loving and kindhearted man who had a hug for everybody. Duane also enjoyed his annual trip to Lynchburg, Tennessee to visit the barrel tree.
