E. Arlene Leinbaugh, age 80, of Clarence, Iowa, died February 20, 2008, at Crestridge Nursing Home - Maquoketa after a lengthy illness. Arlene was born February 28, 1927, in Cedar County to Ira and Florence (Shriver) Long. Arlene married Darrel Leinbaugh March 20, 1948, at Lost Nation, who died in 1972. E. Arlene was born February 28, 1927, in Cedar County to Ira Long and Florence Shriver. Arlene married Darrel Leinbaugh on March 20, 1948, at Lost Nation, who died in 1972. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at Lost Nation Cemetery with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Nation Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Arlene is survived by her two sons Kevin and Scott (Kae), both of Tipton, daughter Kim Schlueter of Killeen, Texas, sister Eleonor Web Thoeming of Tipton, brother Ira (Betty) Long of Stanwood, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Liberta Meyer, and Beverly Steinke. Arlene had worked as a bookkeeper and was an avid bowler.
