Edna P. Allman, age 97 of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Clarence, went to her heavenly home on Friday February 26, 2016 at Unity Point Hospice - St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services are at 11:30 A.M on Monday February 29, 2016 at the Clarence Methodist Church with visitation 1 hour before. There will be a lunch served before going to the Olin Cemetery for burial.
Edna was born November 15, 1918 to Clarence and Pearl (Lytel) Bendon in Harrison County, Iowa. She married Ferman "Jack" Allman on February 19, 1937 in Neola, Iowa. He passed on March 14, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Edward (Doris) Allman of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Eva Myers of Cedar Rapids and Carolyn (Lee) Cooper of Apache Junction, AZ.; grandchildren, Teri (Dave) Svoboda, Stephanie (Matt) French, Wendy (Roger) Schmitz, Tracy Eckard, David Allman, Laura (John Hubbard) Cooper, Douglas (Karin) Cooper, Jeff (Gail) Hilleshiem and Jon Hilleshiem. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Barbara Allman; 14 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Edna was a Christian, a member of the Clarence Methodist church, a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She enjoyed her life in Clarence for over 60 years.
