Elaine M. Kroh, age 79 of Wheatland, passed away at her home on Tuesday October 24, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Elaine was born on April 19, 1944 in Lowden to Richard and Claudine Marie (Von Essen) Licht. She married Merlyn Kroh on April 6, 1968 at St. Paul's in Wheatland. He passed away on November 21, 1989.

She is survived by her daughters Denise (Rich) Feltes of Wheatland and Darla (Kevin) Crosthwaite of West Branch; grandson Cole Crosthwaite; brothers Lawrence Licht of Clarence and Alvin Licht of Clarence; sisters Lucille Horman of Lowden and Eleanor Wenndt of Cedar Rapids; and sisters-in-law Janie Kroh and Carol Licht.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Lois Yutesler; brother Marvin Licht; brothers-in-law Earl Horman, Darrell Kroh, Lavern Wenndt, and Darrell Yutesler; and sisters-in-law Elda Licht and Catharine Licht.

Elaine had many things she enjoyed including her flowers, talking on the phone, BIG 10 basketball, West Branch Bears football, baking, cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes, reading, sewing, going to the casino in her younger years, and when she had ducks on the farm. She loved being a farmwife and was a dedicated member of St. Paul's.
