Elaine H. Muhl, age 88 of Wheatland, passed away on Sunday March 26, 2017 at the Wilton Retirement Community. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 31, 2017 at 10:30 A.M at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Reverend Mark Buck officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 30 from 5-7 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Elaine was born on August 22, 1928 to William and Eleanor (Meyer) Levien in Dixon, Iowa. She married Harlan R. Muhl on March 1, 1947 in Dixon. He died March 24, 2011. Elaine was a kind and loving person that always had a smile and would do anything for anybody. She was a hairdresser in her home for many years and also worked at the Wheatland Nursing Home. Elaine liked to sew and loved her family, along with going to her grand and great grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara (Wade) Hagen of Wilton and Jacqueline (Robert) Stankee of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Justin (Maddie) Hagen, Nicole (Benjamin) Shuger, Dylan (Katie) Hagen, Chase (Stacy) Hagen, Tanner Hagen, Zachary Stankee, Eli (Carrie) Stankee, Lucas (Becca) Stankee, and Mallory Steingrubey; great grandchildren Gage, Trae, Jack, Gabe, Cohen, Lainey, Charlotte, Hudson, Fletcher, and Reese. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Connie.
