Elda M. Schneider, age 82, of Bennett, Iowa, died on May 18, 2012 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home following a 2 year battle with Leukemia. Elda was born September 11, 1929, in Bennett, IA to William H. Fullriede and Ella Miller. Elda married Allen Schneider on February 20, 1949 in New Jersey. He died March 9,1998. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday May 22, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bennett, with Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial will follow at Inland Cemetery in Bennett, IA. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, May 21, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Elda was a member of the ladies aid, Lowden Legion Auxiliary and a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Elda was also known as "Tweedles" and will be remembered for her love of family, well kept barnyard and daily swept sidewalks. She was quick to laugh and always ready with a story. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and especially her sister Clara. She is survived by a daughter Renee(Randy)Krug of Stewartville, MN; sons Rodney(Sharon) of Lowden, Roland(Angie) of Clinton, Raldo(Marcy) of Cedar Falls and Ricky of Bennett; sister Clara Schroeder of Bennett; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren. Elda was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
