Eleanor M. Bentrott, age 79, of Wheatland, Iowa, died at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home on April 18, 2010. Eleanor was born June 17, 1930, in Cedar County, Iowa, to Julius and Amanda (Pruess) Muhs. Eleanor married Mervin Bentrott on Aug. 21, 1949 at Lowden. He died on August 26, 1993. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at St. Paul's United Church Of Christ in Wheatland, Iowa, with Reverend John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, April 23, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Eleanor is survived by: sons Rick (Karen) and Greg (Debbi) both of Lowden and daughter Teresa (Robin) Pewe of Wheatland; grandchildren Jason and Jeremy Pewe, Jared Bentrott, Stacy Pedretti, Joshua and Stefani Bentrott; and great-grandchildren Marissa and Ethan Pewe. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Richard Muhs and sister Myrtle Busch.
