Eleanora E. Hansen, age 89, of Lowden, Iowa, died Monday, September 25, 2006, at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Eleanora was born February 11, 1917, in Cedar County to Paul and Milda (Hartwig) Hormann. Eleanora married Fred Hansen September 8, 1938 at Lowden,he died in 1997. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will follow at Van Horne Cemetery in Lowden. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, from 9:30 am until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Eleanora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister. Eleanora was survived by her daughter, Kathy (Don) Johnston of Marion, son, James of Des Moines, brother, Orville Hormann of Clarence, and sister, Gertrude Haloupek of Marshalltown. Also surviving are grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanora had been residing at Willow Garden Care Center in Marion and was formerly of Lowden
