Elizabeth O. Bixler, age 89, of Clarence, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab. Elizabeth was born August 6, 1917, in Avoca, Iowa to Alonzo and Anna (Hein) Hipshur. Elizabeth Married John Bixler April 25, 1954. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 23, 2007, at Clarence United Methodist Church, Iowa. Burial will follow at Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, March 22, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Elizabeth was survived by her son Andrew (Sarah) of Waterloo, grandson John (Kristie) of Lisbon, great granddaughter Kolsie, and sister Bertha McNeely of Shelbyville, Indiana.
