Ella V. Dahl, age 96, of Bennett, Iowa, died January 8, 2009, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home-Tipton. Ella was born June 25, 1913, in rural Bennett to John Dahl and Lucy Pohlmann. Keeping with Ella's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Chapman Funeral Home-Clarence is assisting the family. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Cedar Manor Nursing Home-Tipton. Ella attended rural school and graduated from Clarence High School in 1930. She worked at Farmers Coop for 8 years and the Golden Star Creamery for 5 years, both in Bennett. She was then employed for many years at Horstmann's Store in Big Rock, Iowa, retiring in 1998. Ella is survived by her sister-Helen Pentecost of Tipton and several nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, brother Oscar, sister Edna Krafock, brother-in-law Karl Krafock and Monte Pentecost, sister-in-law Frances Dahl, and niece Bethany Krafock.
