Erhard Kroemer, 93, of Clarence, Iowa died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.
\nErhard Kroemer was born on September 16, 1912 northwest of lowden to Henry Kroemer and Anna Bunge. Erhard Kroemer married Alberta Schroeder August 23, 1936 at Trinity Lutheran Church. She died January 26, 2005.
Erhard was babtized in Trinity Lutheran Church on October 20, 1912 by pastor Brammer, and confirmed May 22, 1927 by Rev. Herman Maas. He attended Trinity Lutheran School. Erhard and Alberta spent all of their married life in the Lowden Community, retiring from farming in 1978. He had a very strong faith devoting his life to serving the Lord. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on the board of Christian Education, the board of elders, and the cemetery board. He enjoyed his family and friends. Other interests included card playing and traveling.
Visitation is from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home in clarence Iowa. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday at 10:30 am. Reverend Victor Young will be officiating. The service will include special music by the Trinity Men's Chior. Margery Wiebel will serve as the organist. Pallbearers will include David Allman, Richard Kroemer, Scott Greiner, Randy Kroemer, Curt Greiner, John Kroemer and Travis Meissner.
Otto Frey is survived by sons: Robert (Christine), Howard (Nancy) of Lowden and Eugene of Missoula, Montana; daughters: Audrey Schreiber of Sun City Arizona and Georgiana (Nicholas) Greiner of Oxford, Iowa. 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. 4 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great grandchild. He is also survived by sister Hildegard Kroemer of Glendale Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant daughter, two great-grandchildren and a sister Olga Hintze.
In lieu of flowers,the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Hymnal Fund or donors choice.
