Ervin R. Juehring, age 94, of Wheatland, Iowa, died on April 22, 2012 at DeWitt Community Hospital. Ervin was born September 11, 1917, in Massillon, IA to Ernest Juehring and Lena (Hamdorf) Juehring. Ervin married Margaret Croce on November 14, 1955 in Davenport. She died July 9, 1990. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, IA, with Dianne Prichard officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25, at Chapman's in Wheatland. Ervin was a member of the Toronto Community Church, the Oxford Junction Legion Post 473 and the VFW Maquoketa Post 3633. Ervin served in the Army during WWII. Graveside military rites will be by the Oxford Junction Legion. Ervin farmed and had worked as a Clinton county employee until his retirement. He is survived by daughters Sandy (Warren) Hodge of Eldridge and Mary (Wayne) Reiling of Davenport; "special" daughter Nancy (Veryl) Kleppe of Bennett; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and special friend Nita Bowers. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Jim Klahn, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, and grandson Charles LaFrenz.
