Evelyn C. Ibsen, age 94 of Clarence, passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 3:00 P.M at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M until service time at the church. Evelyn was born on May 27, 1922 to Henry and Marie (Edler) Meyer in Cedar County, Iowa. She married George Ibsen on May 21, 1941 in Clarence. He passed on April 12, 2005. Evelyn was very active in church, being a former Sunday School teacher and Lend-A-Hand member. She dedicated her life to her family. George & Evelyn loved to dance, and it was a big part of their lives. Evelyn is survived by her son, Allen (Kristin) of Estero, FL; daughter, Diane (Denny) Mostaert; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; brothers, Albert, Lloyd, and Harry; and sister, Irene Decker.
