Evelyn M. Tank, age 90, of Lowden, Iowa, died August 3, 2007, at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport after a short illness. Evelyn was born June 26, 1917, in rural Bennett, Iowa to Louis and Emma (Proesch) Krutzfeld. Evelyn married Otto Tank December 9, 1934 in Clarence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will follow at Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm on Monday, August 6, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1998 and 4 brothers. Evelyn was survived by sons: Merle (Donna) of Clarence, Ronald (Dorothy) of Kewanee, IL; Darrell (Jackie) of Lakewood, CO; and daughter Sandra (James) Klahn of Wheatland. As well as 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 6 great-great-step-grandchildren and her companion Susie the cat. Evelyn was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the ladies quild and Quilters--member of American Legion Auxilliary and Jolly Nine Card Club. She loved to quilt and crochet.
