Evelyn L. Paulsen, age 89 of Wheatland, passed away on Saturday April 18, 2015 at Wheatland Manor. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 10:30 A.M at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Reverend John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2015 from 4-7 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Evelyn was born on February 6, 1926 to Charles and Millie (Klinkkammer) Heick in Cedar County. She married Ken Paulsen on April 3, 1948 in Davenport. Evelyn was a Farm Bureau member and ran the lunch counter at the Davenport Hospital for years. She enjoyed camping, dancing and going to her grandchildren's events. She is survived by her husband, Ken of Wheatland; sons, Ronald (Ellen) of Durant, Dennis (Linda) of Waterloo, and Myron (Julie) of Wilton; daughter, Pam (Jeff) Turkle of Stockton, IA; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and brother, Charles Heick, Jr. of Maquoketa. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Betty Vens and Gerry Stonerook.
