Evelyn R. Esbaum, age 104, of Lowden died Friday January 4, 2013 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 7, 2013 at 10:30 A.M at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Reverend Victor Young officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lowden.\n Evelyn was born on September 22, 1908 to George and Emma (Hamdorf) Knoche in Clinton County. On September 17, 1931 she married Albert Esbaum in Rock Island, Illinois. He died on January 1, 1987. \n Evelyn was the oldest member in the town of Lowden as well as Trinity Lutheran Church. \n She is survived by 3 sons; Gaylon of Lowden, Beryl(Diane) of Lowden, and Denslow(Jean) of Lowden; 2 daughters; Priscilla Rixe of Tipton and Paulette Riedesel of Sun City, Arizona; sister Marjore Hadley of Kingnam, Arizona; daughters-in-law Brenda Esbaum of Lowden and Dolores Esbaum of Davenport; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; 2 sons, Larry and Douglas; 1 brother; 1 sister; 2 grandchildren; 2 son-in-laws; and a daughter-in-law.
