Everett Albert Esbaum, age 88 of Wheatland, passed way on Sunday October 21, 2018 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 25 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Everett was born in Cedar county, Iowa to Richard and Erma (Sarby) Esbaum on August 22, 1930. He attended the Bennett school system until his family moved to Lowden. He married Bonnie Klahn on August 12, 1951 at Zion united Church of Christ in Lowden, and they celebrated 67 years together.
He is survived by his wife; daughter Gail (Donovon) Riedesel of Tomah, WI; sons Dan (Becky) of Eldridge, Randy (Debbie) of Cedar Rapids, and Steve (Lori) of Olin; 13 grandkids and 30 great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Terry Esbaum and brother Marvin Esbaum.
Everett loved to travel and went to 49 states and 3 countries with Bonnie. He farmed for 25 years, then moved to Wheatland and drove semi for 15 years for Smiths Transfer out of Davenport. He then started driving for Kay Elevator of Wheatland until his retirement. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
